De verbluffende H-5500 phonotrap van Allnic is hiervan een goed voorbeeld. Deze H-5500 opereert in puur klasse A, heeft geen negatieve terugkoppeling, twee paar MM- en MC-ingangen, permalloy transformatorkernen, selecteerbare belastingsinstellingen, single-ended uitgangen en een erg cool uitziende stroommeter om de buisstatus te controleren. Het buizencomplement bestaat uit vier NOS E180CC twin triodes voor signaalversterking en één 7233 en 5654 voor de voeding.
